A stepped smooth bezel holds a domed sapphire crystal above a brushed silver bi-compax dial, a grey Tachymeter scale with a red “80” as a nod to his birthday surrounds a 60-minute scale above applied baton indexes marking the hours, at 3 o’clock, a continuous seconds register, at 6 o’clock a framed date window and finally at 9 o’clock a 30-minute register, each in black and slightly recessed and precisely executed with a red-tipped stick hand.
