Here we have a distinctive 2019 Farer Bernina 'Mark 1' Chronograph, Limited to 20 pieces. It became the official timing watch for the Bernina Gran Turismo 2019, a race across the Swiss Alps. Modern Formula cars and historic classics compete over a 5.7-kilometre course between La Rösa and Hospizio Bernina, just outside St. Moritz. Featuring a brushed 41mm 316L Marine Grade stainless steel case that curves over your wrist with tapered flat-ended lugs. The subtle curve of the brushed case flanks leads to a lug-to-lug length of 44mm and a case thickness of 13mm, giving the watch an impressive wrist presence. Circular and horizontal brushing of the case transitions with crisp edges. On the right side, we have the chronograph pushers and a signed crown with a machined bronze cap and an embossed Farer “A”. The white ceramic fixed bezel has an engraved Tachymetre in red. A boxed sapphire crystal, AR-coated on the inside, sits above a striking matte off-white dial. The outer chapter ring has a Telemetre scale in red. On the dial, we have a 60-minute scale in red with the first 15 minutes in blue. At 3 o’clock, a 30-minute register in white with a red hand; at 6 o’clock, a 12-hour register with a red hand; and finally, at 9 o’clock, the small seconds register in white with a blue hand. Small Arabic numerals in thick red print mark the hours. Elegant dauphine hands, filled with Super-LumiNova and outlined in red, are complemented by a red tapered chronograph hand. At noon, the Farer motif and above the 12-hour register, ‘Chronograph’ is printed in red, completing this historically inspired chronograph. On the reverse, a screwed-down exhibition case back with a flat sapphire crystal, engraved with the watch's details around its edge. Inside a manually wound Sellita SW510 BH Elaboré, 23 jewels, 28,800 beats per hour.
