The Watch
Here we have a creative collaboration celebrating Disney's 100th Anniversary, 2023 Unimatic x Disney x Highsnobiety U1S-HS Limited 054/100 pieces. Highsnobiety is a fashion and lifestyle online retailer founded in 2005 by David Fischer. The 41mm brushed stainless steel case sits comfortably on your wrist with tapered drilled lugs, and a lug-to-lug length of 49mm and a case thickness of 13mm give the watch an impressive wrist presence. On the right side is a crown protected by crown guards, the rotating unidirectional 120-click bezel has a coin edge for grip and a 60-minute scale engraved, complete with a red pip at 12. A domed sapphire crystal sits above a silver grain textured dial with the iconic illustrated Sorcerer Mickey from Fantasia casting his spell, an outer minute track surrounds disc and baton indexes coated in SuperLumiNova marking the hours, black broad phantom ladder hands filled with the same Super-LumiNova C1 White lume and a black reverse lollipop second hand with a red tip. At 6 o’clock we have the Highsnobiety logo and Disney logo completing this distinctive celebration timepiece. On the reverse a screw-down solid case back engraved with the details of the watch and the respective logos, inside an automatic Sellita Cal. SW200-1, 26 jewels, 28,800 beats per hour. The watch comes paired with three UNIMATIC NATO straps and comes with its UNIMATIC tough pelican box and paperwork.

Unimatic x Disney x Highsnobiety! This U1S-HS is a ton of fun on and off the wrist, as with some of the other quirky collaborations with Unimatic, this won't be for everyone and that is totally OK! I am always happy to see brands offer something different, especially in an industry that can often feel plagued by the same releases over and over again with minor changes...
