Here we have a 2024 Timex x The James Brand GMT Automatic Limited to 1000 pieces, made in collaboration with The James Brand, a Portland-based everyday carry (EDC) company that designs minimalist, high-performance knives and tools. Founded in 2012 by a group of designers and adventurers, the brand focuses on "practical, not tactical" aesthetics. Featuring a 41mm Grade 5 titanium case that sits comfortably on your wrist with thick tapered lugs. The matte grey curved flanks lead to a lug-to-lug length of and a case thickness of 11.5mm. On the right side, a coin-edged crown with a yellow cap. The 120-click unidirectional bezel features a black-and-grey Day/Night insert with a 24-hour GMT scale. A slightly domed, AR-coated sapphire crystal sits above a matte black dial. An outer chapter ring with a repeating 24-hour scale surrounds a minute track with contrasting white batons coated in Super-LumiNova marking the hour. At 3 o’clock, a date window. Thick baton hands coated in Super-Luminova are complemented by a yellow GMT hand and a white-tipped second hand.
